About Us

Established in August 2020 by Joey Hillan who has a BSED in Middle Grades (4-8) Science from Baylor University, Waco, TX and a M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education from Towson University, Towson, MD. Joey has taught in Midway ISD - Waco, TX, St. Mary’s County Public Schools - Tall Timbers, MD, and Head Start with SMCPS - Great Mills, MD.  Sotterley Early Learning Center's pre-school and childcare programs focus on developmentally appropriate learning experiences to foster growth in academic, social, and emotional development. There is a strong emphasis on healthy eating, staying active, and outdoor education in all aspects of a young learner's day at Sotterley Early Learning Center. Children from six weeks old to 5th grade are welcome to attend, learn, grow, and have fun!
